Helping businesses move talent across borders with seamless, compliant and people-focused mobility solutions.
Companies that move employees across borders face compliance and logistics challenges that only get more complex as the programme scales. Gerson Relocation is an accredited relocation management company that manages the full assignment lifecycle, from immigration and destination services to household goods logistics and expense reporting, so your internal team can focus on the business, not the move.
Whether you run a handful of senior assignments per year or a high-volume programme spanning multiple regions, our employee relocation services are built around your policy, your reporting requirements, and your people.
Gerson Relocation holds both FIDI FAIM certification (the international quality benchmark for relocation services) and BAR membership. These are independently verified, and you can confirm them directly at FIDI.org or BAR.co.uk.
We are also a member of EuRA (the European Relocation Association) and part of the AGM Group, providing the financial stability and operational backing that procurement teams look for when evaluating a long-term mobility partner.
Our global network covers over 1,200 approved partners worldwide, each sourced, reviewed, and quality-managed by our dedicated supply chain management team. This is not a directory; it is an actively governed partner programme. That distinction matters when you need consistent service in Lagos, Bangalore, and São Paulo simultaneously.
Crucially, we also deliver services in-house in the UK: our own warehouse, crews, and fleet. That operational depth is what allows us to manage partner quality globally with real expertise, not just contractual oversight.
We cover the full assignment lifecycle. Each service below is available as a standalone engagement or as part of a managed programme:
Home search, school search, area orientation, and settling-in support are available across all major assignment destinations. These are the services that determine whether a relocated employee is productive in week two or still searching for a flat six weeks after arrival.
As a company that manages service providers globally, we are somewhat unique in that we also deliver our services in-house. In the UK, we have our own warehouse, crews, fleet and relocation team. This detailed level of operational expertise enables us to manage our approved service partners, providing these solutions in other locations and their costs better than a company that outsources everything.
We take responsibility for all global mobility services we manage for you. In every case we provide a Relocation Manager to be your assignee’s primary point of contact and the person to guide them through their relocation. We take responsibility for the success of the services they receive and ensure they have an exceptional relocation experience.
Most corporate mobility partnerships begin with a scoping call — we map your current programme structure, identify where the friction is (immigration delays, expense reconciliation lag, inconsistent destination service quality), and design an engagement model around what you actually need.
From there, the engagement follows a four-stage model:
Your Client Services Manager is the consistent point of accountability across all four stages. We also publish guidance and quality certification details publicly, so you can complete a significant part of supplier due diligence before the first call.
For organisations evaluating us against other providers, our differentiator is the hybrid model. We own the UK delivery and govern the global network. That means we understand what quality looks like at the operational level, not just on a scorecard.
Not all assignments are the same. We structure our services around the assignment type, so you are not paying for services your policy does not cover:
From there, the engagement follows a four-stage model:
VIP and executive moves — high-touch, personally managed senior assignments
Long-term assignments — full-service for multi-year placements with family accompaniment
Group moves — coordinated relocation of multiple employees to a single destination or new office location
Lump sum relocation — managed disbursement and reporting for cash-in-lieu policies
Talk to our team about your requirements — whether you are reviewing an existing programme, switching providers, or building a corporate relocation capability from scratch.
Global mobility is the managed movement of employees across international borders as part of a company’s workforce strategy. It covers the full assignment lifecycle: immigration, relocation logistics, destination services, expense management, and programme administration. Companies typically partner with a specialist relocation management company to handle operational complexity at scale.
A global mobility company manages international employee assignments on behalf of the employer — handling logistics, immigration, destination services, expense processing, and programme reporting. The goal is to reduce operational burden on internal HR teams while delivering a consistent, compliant experience for relocating employees.
Core global mobility services include:
Costs vary significantly based on assignment type, destination, policy tier, and whether the employer or employee sources accommodation. A lump sum policy for a domestic move can run from £3,000–£8,000; a full-service long-term international assignment with family accompaniment typically ranges from £25,000–£80,000+. Programme management fees are separate from relocation costs and are scoped based on annual assignment volume. The most accurate starting point is a scoping call to map your programme against your budget parameters.
The key criteria for evaluating a relocation management company are: accreditation (FIDI FAIM and BAR are the relevant benchmarks in this market), global network coverage and how it is governed, whether the provider can handle the full assignment lifecycle or only components of it, technology and reporting capability, and evidence of experience with your specific assignment profile (volume, destinations, policy type). Gerson holds both FIDI FAIM and BAR accreditation, covers 1,200+ partner locations, and delivers in-house in the UK.
A relocation management company (RMC) acts as the operational and administrative layer between an employer and the full ecosystem of relocation service providers — movers, immigration lawyers, temporary housing providers, and destination service agents. The RMC manages quality, compliance, and cost across all vendors on the employer’s behalf. Gerson Relocation operates as a full-service RMC with both in-house UK delivery capability and a governed global partner network.

What began as a seemingly reasonable quote turned into a financial ambush. The final bill was so inflated it felt like they were charging by the minute, the mile, and possibly the molecules in the air. And if the price gouging wasn’t enough, the delivery was laughably late. Not “a little behind schedule” late—weeks late, with vague excuses, zero accountability, and the communication skills of a broken fax machine. Every promised update was either incorrect, incomplete, or simply never arrived. By the time the belongings finally showed up, I was half-convinced they’d taken a scenic tour of the continental United States. No apology, no explanation, no professionalism. Just a shrug and an invoice that belonged in a crime documentary. If you enjoy surprise charges, missed deadlines, and the existential dread of wondering whether your furniture is lost, damaged, or being held hostage, this is the company for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and run—don’t walk—in the opposite direction.Posted on Google Freddie WacenskeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Terrible experience. Forms are lengthy and difficult to fill out. Company underestimated cost of cubic meters. I had to pay an extra 450 € after the shipment was collected, as they claimed I had an extra 10 cubic meters. Also paid for insurance coverage through their recommended insurance company for total shipment. Several expensive items were broken, and a box was missing. But insurance company would not cover for any of it, as I was told I had to fill out a form for each covered item, instead of covering for the total shipment as I did. No mention and not even concern for one of the boxes I NEVER received.Posted on Google Sarah El-SayedTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Such a scam! Worst moving company ever! They started off with a pretty low price, after I signed a contract despite the fact they knew my move date they basically called and said that they have no one in Zurich and they need to send another company to pack and they will add 325 euros only top. I have moved earlier just 4 months ago with 3 cbm and only thing extra was a tv after packing the cubic meter suddenly increased to 6 cubic meter. Then called me on the phone to say it’s 800 extra then sent me an email saying it will be 850 extra! They are just scammers. The only good thing was the packer. He was very nice.Posted on Google Mark TolmayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Recently made use of Gerson Relocation services for a move from South Africa to the USA. Their communication was good and making the arrangements was effortless.Posted on Google Steve BradleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a complex issue where we had two storage lockers at different locations in the UK which we needed emptying, consolidating and shipping to a single destination in the USA. Gerson handled this task perfectly. Communication was very good at all times. Both pickups and the final delivery were as scheduled and all involved worked diligently with our stuff. Congratulations to Emma at Gerson for the organization, very highly recommended.Posted on Google Simon BenhamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a really good experience with Gerson in moving my possessions to America from the UK. Dealt with Emma who was really helpful and also provided me with a good 3rd party referral for a currency exchange provider. It’s not cheap but I got a good price compared to other companies I spoke to. Everything turned up in one piece, no additional charges beyond what was quoted and communication was good throughout.Posted on Google Ashley VargheseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The whole moving process was good. Samantha and Daniel were very helpful! I would recommend them to others!Posted on Google JustbradleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brilliant service! Emma was on top of everything, there was a clear line of communication at every step of the process - from organising the date of collection all the way through to delivery. Everything was easy, the goods arrived in great condition and I would 100% use them again.Posted on Google Alex MTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When planning to move from England to America I can't deny I was beyond nervous about getting all my stuff moved over there as well. However, Gerson Relocation have been genuinely great at calming those nerves, and they made the whole process far smoother than I'd ever expected. Emma was looking over my case throughout and she's been amazing at keeping me updated every step of the way, and she's always been extremely quick to reply to me whenever I had any queries. The movers they'd arranged to collect my things were both really friendly guys who made surprisingly quick work of packing up my apartment (they'd packed up everything and left before 12pm!). They took great care of all my things, wrapping everything well for shipping. And finally, the movers who brought everything to my new apartment in America were also great guys who somehow had all my boxes dropped off in my apartment within literally 30 minutes after arriving! I'm still in the process of unpacking everything, but so far not a single thing has been damaged and it's all looking to be in good shape! There were some delays shipping my stuff over so it took about 4 1/2 months to get to me, but this was entirely out of the hands of Gerson Relocation (more to do with the shipping vessel), and Emma was as good as ever at keeping me informed the whole time. Overall, I can't recommend them enough. They really do their best to make things as smooth as they can, everything made the trip safely, and the whole 3500 mile move cost less than some of my friends have paid to move just 30 mins away within the UK. :)Posted on Google YUJIRO TANAKATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From my recent experience, I can recommend Gerson Relocation as a trusted company for moving from the UK to Japan. I wanted to move my furniture and household stuff to Tokyo but the problem was that I had kept them too long in London to be exempted from import tax. I asked big names of Japanese transport companies with UK agencies, but some of them did not deal with personal costumers and others could not give me a quote because of uncertainties about the import process. Fortunately, my friend who works for the real estate industry and knows transport companies recommended Gerson Relocation for their sincere and accurate responses over the phone. Since then, I exchanged many emails with Gerson Relocation and her partner in Japan about the procedures and the documents I had to prepare, and they were always prompt and friendly. Most importantly, they had documentation in place for easy-to-understand explanations. They updated me frequently even on the weekend. After two months and half of shipping, they delivered everything safely to Tokyo. To my surprise, I had to pay nothing for import tax since it was handled as moving. Thinking back, I can now appreciate how important mutual trust is for international transport including that with government officials. Without such trust, this moving would not have taken place. The cost was also about half of what I had expected. I do not know words to fully express my heart-felt gratitude to Gerson Relocation and her partner.
